Professional Biography
Dr Olaf Sander grew up in Germany and attended the University of Jena in Germany where he completed a degree in Medicine and Surgery, as well as his MD in 1998.
After several formative years as a resident doctor in Germany, the US and the UK, he went on to train in the speciality of Anaesthetics and Intensive Care Medicine, obtaining the Specialist Recognition in Anaesthesiology (2005) and Intensive Care Medicine (2006) as well as the European diplomas in both specialities in 2005 and 2006.
After further training and sub-specialisation in Oxford, UK and Abu Dhabi, UAE, he moved to Australia with his family and obtained fellowship with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (2011).
Since 2012, he has been practising in both public and private roles in Shepparton, Victoria, Nambour and Hervey Bay, Queensland.
He currently provides private sessions in Anaesthetics predominantly at the Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital and the Buderim Private Hospital on the Sunshine Coast.
Dr Sander is passionate about patient safety and satisfaction while under his care.
