Professional Biography
Dr Stacey Swinkels grew up in Canada. She completed an undergraduate degree in Health Sciences at the University of Western Ontario before moving to Australia to complete her medical degree at the University of Sydney. Her anaesthetic training was completed across various hospitals in Queensland, followed by an Airway Fellowship in Glasgow, UK. Stacey works regularly with an overseas aid group called Operation Smile, providing life-changing cleft lip and palate surgery to disadvantaged children. This has taken her to multiple countries across Asia and Africa. She has also worked with a group called Eyes for Africa, providing cataract surgery to individuals in Ethiopia.
